Abstract:

The definition of Newton’s second law of motion (NSLM) as taught in standard textbooks is different form as given by Newton in the Principia ( 1686). In the standard textbooks, Newton’s second law of motion is expressed in mathematical form as F =ma. But it is not true. The mathematical form of NSLM is Impressed Force = Constant x Change in velocity.
