REFERENCING AND CROSS-LINKING PAPERS
An interesting feature for authors is the "view page" that comes up if you click on the word "view" located at the right of each paper title.
The link that appears in the top field of the browser when this page is displayed is assigned in a stable and final manner to a paper.
Since the direct link to most recent version of a paper will change when authors ask that it be replaced with a modified version, it must be remembered that the direct links to the older versions either become inoperative or may remain active and still keep pointing to old copies, not to the latest copy.
The interest of the "view page" is that the link to the paper that is shown in the middle of the "view page" ALWAYS points to the latest version of a paper.
So if you wish to cross-link your papers to each other, this becomes possible if you use the link at the top of the "view" pages of each of your papers.
Of course, if you give this stable link
to third parties in email messages or other means, it will also always point to the latest version of your papers also even if the papers are modified after these links are given.
IF YOUR FILES DO NOT SHOW UP AFTER YOU LOG IN
If all of your papers do not show up in your list of papers after you log in as a Registerd author or if you get the message "0 total records on pges", please notify [email protected] to have this issue corrected.
The reason for this procedure is that all papers uploaded before registration cannot be automatically linked to new accounts to avoid possible confusion with multiple similar authors' names, and need to be linked manually.
