Abstract:

This book analyzes the possibility that the relativistic deformations of space and time were only apparent, not real. He also introduces the concept of preinertia, a universal attribute of all physical objects that makes it impossible to detect absolute motion. Preinertia and discrete space and time are then used to propose an alternative to the theory of special relativity compatible with all its experimental support.
