Abstract:
The Doppler effect characterizes the change in the frequency of a wave in relation to an observer who is moving relative to the source of the wave. Following a revisited approach to the classic Doppler effect, we will propose an alternative approach to the relativistic Doppler effect and expose its related formulas. We will then consider the consequences of this new approach on the speed evaluation of celestial objects.
