Abstract:
There has been much research and many papers published that are related to redshifts, especially those in reference to the most distant galaxies. Here is just another one but this time there is the potential effects or lack thereof brought on by variable speed of light. The currently accepted standard cosmological model interprets the redshifts as evidence for expansion of the universe. However, as this paper addresses, there are many other possible physical mechanisms that result in redshift. What makes this paper unique is the acceptance of the possibility of a highly varying speed of light over time and distance [1]. The potential effects of this phenomenon on atomic physics have been addressed to some extent in one of my previous papers [2].
