Refraction. Spacetime Matrix. Gravitational force, mass, Henri Poincare, Einstein, Hermann Minkowski. Eddington. 1919. Reification. Equivalence Principle. Lift. Frequency. Free-fall. Bent light. Photons. Acceleration. Mirages. Optical illusions
The dubious assertion that light can be 'bent' by mass, by gravitational attraction and by Spacetime is disingenuous and unnecessary. Refraction can, in all cases, explain any light-bending phenomena. With photographs of several confirming experiments, I demonstrate this. The grounds for the erroneous belief that both gravity and acceleration can 'bend' light stem from Einstein's Equivalence Principle which I show to be
seriously flawed. Spacetime cannot bend light, as it is only a metric. I assert that Spacetime doesn’t move; it doesn’t do anything at all; it does not exist as a physical field.
Spacetime is not a tangible, physically real thing and therefore cannot provide any explanation for light's behaviour.
