هیچ فیزیکی، تعریف جدید ذره بنیادی، تقارن در لایه های پنهان فیزیک


از زمانی که ارسطو متوجه شد با چهار عنصر آشکار نمی توان رفتار تمام پدیده های فیزیکی را توضیح داد و عنصر کامل اتر را وارد فلسفه طبیعی کرد، تا امروز که مدل استاندارد ذرات بنیادی زیربنای فیزیک کوانتوم را تشکیل می دهد، شناخت لایه های پنهان طبیعت دغدغه ی فیزیکدانان بود و هست. در فیزیک مدرن خلاء کوانتومی را معادل اتر می دانند. اما هیچ نظریه ای به اندازه نظریه ریسمان ها درگیر لایه های پنهان جهان نشده است. برخی از طرفداران نظریه ریسمان ها، از تقارن های نظریه ریسمان ها نتیجه می گیرند که زمان آغاز و پایانی ندارد. با این وجود نظریه ریسمان ها نتوانسته یک توضیح فیزیکی برای لایه های پنهان ارائه دهد که بتواند رابطه فیزیکی بین جهان آشکار و لایه های پنهان آن برقرار کند.
