substance, density, gas, metal, mineral, atom, nucleus
An analysis of the relationship between density and physical parameters of various substances has been carried out. It is shown that there is a clear correlation between the density and size of the nucleus of noble gases. A weak correlation between the density and diameter of an atom and a more significant relationship for metals between the density and diameter of the atomic nucleus is noted. A high correlation was found between the density and the ratio of the nuclear volume to the atomic volume for metals. The dependence of the mineral density on the refractive index is traced.
