Газистий ефір чинить гідравлічний опір рухові крізь нього матеріальних тіл. В складених силами гравітації або силами Фаціо системах, в котрих менш масивне тіло обертається навкруг масивнішого тіла, зазначене обертання відбувається завдяки тому, що силовий сигнал, надісланий менш масивним тілом масивнішому тілу, спрямовується під кутом до сигналу, що надходить від масивнішого тіла до менш масивного тіла, а зазначений кут утворюється обертанням менш масивного тіла навкруг масивнішого тіла. Зазначений гідравлічний опір залежить від щільності газистого ефіру, котра у свою чергу залежить від маси центрального (масивнішого) тіла і від відстані від останнього (радіусу обертання).
