Abstract:

In this stroll about light in the context of the nowadays state of science, I analyze Einstein’s postulate of the constancy of the speed of light. In a former paper, it is found that the Special Relativity Theory is consisting of two independent concepts, which were put in the right context of physics. It results in the physical limitation of the theory’s validity to local events, under conditions. Also the question whether light is made of particles or waves is solved, and it results in unveiling the physical process that limits and locally standardizes the speed of light.

Steve Olah(LAGUNA WOODS, United States):
Einstein was a magician. He used slight of hand (or frames) to fool most everybody. In reality there are no overlapping frames. Each object is surrounded by its own frame. Light and other energies are transformed at the boundary of the two frames. We can only estimate what goes on in the original frame.
Light is an interesting creature. Please, take a look at "cone cells" on Wikipedia. Interesting. What you see (colors) may not be what I see.
Cheers, Steve

NANDA BALLABH PANT(Baijnath, India):
Light rays in which many photons are present, however according to the uncertainty principle one cannot measure the velocity of a particular/single photon precisely. Then how one can say about the constancy of "c" ?

Dear Nanda,
Thank you for your comment. However, a measurement of a single photon is a matter of quantum physics. It is true that the disturbance of any measuring apparatus may cause a difficulty of measuring that.
For the present discussion, the physics are to be considered macroscopic, and a proper measuring apparatus will not substantially alter the results.
Best regards;
