All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident: Arthur Schopenhauer -- In questions of science the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual: Galileo Galilei -- Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it: Albert Einstein -- When you have eliminated the impossible, what ever remains, however improbable must be the truth: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle -- We all agree that your theory is crazy, but is it crazy enough? Abstract:

--------- In the present paper we show on the basis of national accounts that the accumulation problem discovered by Rosa Luxembourg really exists and that it can be solved only if – in contrast to Rosa Luxembourg – the state is identified as the ‘third person’ searched by her. Furthermore, we show on the long-term behavior of the economic development in FRG, Japan and USA that the development of capitalism has now reached a stage where the fundamental accumulation problem has no more a possible capitalist solution and that on the long-term the global bankruptcy threatens and finally a new economic system will be formed, which starts from zero growth and vanishing net investments.
