Abstract:
The physical nature of light and the laws of its propagation in space is very well studied in terrestrial conditions. But poorly is understood that is happens with a quantum of the light during its long movement, is measured in billions of the light years distant from the star to the observer on Earth. The gaps in the knowledge about this subject permits the varying interpretations of the phenomenon. One of these erroneous interpretations was the idea of the Big Bang This an article is attempts to identify the quantitative effect of dark matter in the universe on the propagation of the light from the distant stars for a great time of movement of the light wave to an observer on Earth. As a consequence, it is proposed a different understanding of the red shift in the spectra of the distant galaxies and the phenomenon of the "big bang" .
