Abstract:

The following is an analytic assessment of physics presented from the standpoint of philosophy. This may not appear to be an exceptionally strong recommendation given the current state of the latter discipline, but it should be understood that all theories, including those of physics, are expressed within the context of a general world view or prevailing philosophy. This philosophy plays a significant role in our interpretation of physical events even though its tenets are for the most part, tacitly assumed.
