Abstract:
A mass-energy equivalence equation is derived as E = ½mc2, different from relativistic formula E = mc2. Mass of a moving particle is assumed to be constant at rest mass. Aberration of electric field is invoked to obtain force on particle of charge K moving in electrostatic field E and give electric field of charged particle moving at velocity v. Kinetic energy of moving charged particle is contained in the increase of its field, not increase of mass. Radiation reaction force -KEv/c, not mass increase, prevents a moving charged particle from going beyond the speed of light c.
