Abstract:
The aim of this study is to reconsider the velocities of celestial objects on the basis of a new approach to the relativistic Doppler effect based on the Cosmic Microwave Background. The resulting formula enables to introduce and calculate a tangential component to the velocities of stars and galaxies indeed. In a first time, we will qualify this new formula from known stars nearby the solar system and for which the cinematic parameters are well known (radial velocity, proper motion, redshift). In a second time, we will build scenarios and make extrapolations on extragalactic objects already documented but for which we have fewer elements. These considerations will lead us to new assumptions on the expansion pattern on the cosmic scale, which is mainly determined by the Hubble’s law.
