Abstract:
Angular momentum governs dynamic processes across the universe, from the collapse of molecular clouds in star formation to the rotation of galaxies and the alignment of large-scale structures. Within the ΛCGF model1, angular momentum evolves into the Spin Metric, a novel framework that embeds rotational dynamics as a fundamental property of spacetime. This approach unifies the intricate processes of star formation, galactic rotation, and cosmic structure under a single paradigm. The Spin Metric reveals how angular momentum conservation shapes the formation of protoplanetary disks, regulates accretion flows, and drives stellar outflows during early evolution. At larger scales, it explains flat galactic rotation curves without the need for dark matter and the directional coherence of cosmic structures, such as galaxy cluster alignments and the cosmic microwave background dipole first observed by COBE. By integrating angular momentum into the curvature of spacetime, the Spin Metric demonstrates that rotational motion is a fundamental driver of complexity in the universe, bridging the microcosm of stellar birth to the vast scales of cosmic evolution.
