Abstract:

In 1908, Walter Ritz created a ballistic(or emission)theory that, contrary to the theory of A. Einstein's relativity, a visual and common-sense explanation of the experience of Michelson-Morley and other facts that excluded the ether, as well as experiments on relativistic mass change. This remarkable theory has long been hushed up, especially in the USSR, where dogmatism in basic science has been brought to the limit. This is not surprising, because it is the Ritz Ballistic Theory (BTR), and not the theory of ether, is a real competition of special and general theory of relativity (STO and OTT), being able to displace them over time.
