Abstract:

Galileo, Copernicus, & the Roman Catholic Church Astronomers agreed that the Earth is located at the center of the Anisotropic Physical Universe. Copernicus did not re-locate the Earth among the stars of the constellations. American Astronomer Harlow Shapley did…twice. Shapley invented the phrase “The Copernican Principle” in an attempt to convince his skeptics when he re-located the Milky Way in order to discredit the theory of his bitter arch-rival, Edwin Hubble.
