Abstract:
I start the argument by putting on the chopping board the electromagnetic
theory of the wave. I will then make a distinction in kind between the linear and
non-linear field and show that it is not the so-called progressive wave travelling
with direction in space, but rather the electromagnetic signal which may
be defined as an imprinted signature carried along by the extending electromagnetic
process whose main task is that of creating new lengths of space.
