Abstract:

Despite misconceptions within popular scientific thought, Einstein’s theories did not win out over Lorentz and his theories. The reverse, however, is true. An honest appraisal of Einstein’s Relativity shows us that it is Lorentz and not Einstein’s Special Relativity being used in GPS to manage the velocity-dependent clock slowing effects. However, Lorentz’s work is not without its flaws and new discoveries about the Sagnac effect call into question the very foundations of Lorentz’s length contraction hypothesis stemming from the Michelson-Morley experiment. This leaves us with a mystery that may be best solved by reexamining where Lorentz left on in his derivations of clock slowing.

Let me add that Einstein was only 8 years old at the time of the M&M experiment. Don't blame him for the no-ether fiasco.

The Michelson-Morley experiment proved that ether does not move in the horizontal direction but ignored its movement in the vertical direction as gravity. Ether's velocity is about 40 times g. And since there is ether, there is no special relativity, according to Einstein.
