Abstract:

The most prevalent misconception, associated with the Moon is the assumption that the Moon no longer has a global magnetic field because its small, once-molten iron core cooled and solidified, stopping the dynamo process that generates a global magnetic field. But, this view contradicts basic observational facts about our Earth's only natural satellite.
