This paper is to provide a physical explanation for why energy is held to the quantum rule and what derives from that. Physics has been at an impasse for decades because of the inability to reconcile the QFT with GR. A mathematical model applied to the alternative approach presented here could help resolve that problem. "A 'Fusion' of the Wave and Particle Concepts", words from the book on "Einstein and the Quantum" by A. Douglas Stone, points out that Einstein believed that there needed to be some “fusion” in quantum theory to arrive at some deeper level of understanding of the quanta phenomenon that exists between matter and waves. “In 1954, a year before his death …Einstein wrote…to de Broglie…"Indeed, exactly like you, I am convinced that one must look for a substructure, a necessity that the present quantum theory hides.” E. Schrodinger said; "What we observe as material bodies and forces are nothing but shapes and variations in the structure of space". This paper gives support to those perspectives.
It claims there is fundamental connection between space and matter that ties them together as two sides of one system and the quanta of energy is a fundamental part of that connection. That connection gives a new perspective on Space, Cosmic Inflation, Planck's Quanta, the nature of light, the flow of energy, the physical understanding to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, Relativity, and the fundamental forces, including gravity.
