Abstract:
In this paper, I use the McMahon field theory to explain electromagnetic induction, hence why the left and right hand rules hold true. Electromagnetic induction is the generation of an electrical current through an electrical conductor moving through a magnetic field. Although the laws of electromagnetic induction are known, it has not been explained before as to why these laws are true. From the right and left hand rules, which tell us about the direction of conductor movement or force, conventional current direction, and magnetic flux direction, we see that if we know at least two of these directions, we can determine the third.
